Live Chat · Widget customization
Customize your live chat widget
Colour, position, launcher icon, bubble style, agent name and avatar, and the opening line — set from one screen, with no CSS and no developer.
Can I customize the ChatFlo chat widget?
Yes. From the Chatbox settings screen you set the brand colour, launcher position and icon, bubble style, agent name, title and avatar, and the welcome message visitors see first. Changes apply to the live widget without re-installing the script or touching CSS.
Why it matters
A chat widget that looks like it was built for your site.
A default-looking widget gets ignored
Visitors have learned to tune out generic chat bubbles. A launcher that matches your site reads as part of the product rather than a bolted-on vendor tool.
The opening line does the work
The welcome message is the only copy most visitors read before deciding whether to type. Making it specific to your business converts better than "How can I help you today?".
No developer in the loop
Appearance is a settings screen, not a stylesheet. Whoever owns your support tone can change it without waiting for a deploy.
In the product
What you can change
These map to real settings in your dashboard, not a roadmap.
Brand colour
Sets the launcher and the assistant's message bubbles, so the widget picks up your palette rather than a default blue.
Position and launcher icon
Float the launcher bottom-left or bottom-right, and swap the default icon for your own square image.
Agent identity
Give the agent a name, a job title, and an avatar, so replies come from a recognisable persona instead of an anonymous bot.
Welcome and offline messages
Set the first line visitors see, and a separate message for when the agent cannot help and nobody is available to take over.
What you cannot change
The widget's layout and interaction model are fixed — this is a settings screen, not a theme engine, so you cannot restructure the panel or inject arbitrary CSS. If you need something structurally different, the underlying conversation API is the route, not the widget.
Make the widget yours
Install one script tag, set your colours and copy, and the widget matches your site from the first visitor.
Frequently asked questions
No. Everything on this page is a form field in the Chatbox settings screen — a colour picker, a position toggle, an image upload, and text inputs. No stylesheet is involved.
Branding removal depends on your plan. Check the current pricing page for which tier includes it rather than assuming — it is the kind of detail that changes, and we would rather you confirm it before you commit.
No. The widget reads its configuration at load time, so a colour or copy change is live on the next page load. You install the script once and never touch it again.
Set a brand colour that works against your background and pick a launcher icon with the right contrast. There is no separate dark-mode toggle for the panel itself.
